Lynsay Sands- Bitten by Cupid (book 13)

 Oh how I wanted so much more out of this story- yes I know it was an anthology but I just LOVE Tiny and wanted more!! Tiny the not so tiny P.I. that has been working with and for the Argeneau family was giving another assignment but this time he would be working with a partner that Marguerite picked out for him. LOL we all know what happens when she puts a human and vampire together. The chemistry is powerful from the very beginning between Mirabeau and Tiny, with the two of them working together to get Stephanie to safety. Stephanie is a young vampire that was kidnapped and changed over by a no-fanger who is still out to get her. Stephanie has certain abilities already that most of the older vamps worked years to get. Traveling the tunnels underneath New York is not the happiest place for a new vamp or better yet a mouthy teenager. Mirabeau helps Stephanie with her recent tragedy while Stephanie helps her get over her tragic past. When Mirabeau finally opens up to Tiny she realizes that he is her lifemate and that is where the book ended and with me wanting SO MUCH more- but like always I know LS will give me what I need soon!! Lynsay Sands- The Renegade Hunter (book 12)

Nicholas Argeneau was once a hunter of rogue vampires and now he is the one being hunted for being a rogue himself BUT is he really rogue??? Things happened in his past that he has no memory of, only thing he does remember is waking up with blood all over him with a dead human in his arms. Once a hunter always a hunter so Nicholas is hunting a rogue that managed to get onto the Enforcers new compound grounds. The rogue was attacking Joe (Joe is one of the sisters of Sam who is lifemates with Mortimer); he saves Joe but gets himself locked up. He escapes- not telling you how but he does. Oh side note- Nicholas is Thomas’ older brother that no one talks about since they all think he went rogue. Joe is kidnapped by the rogue vampire again and Nicholas saves her life. As you guessed Nicholas and Joe are lifemates. The ending of this book is great with the rest of the Argeneau family- gotta love those happy endings!!! Oh yeah- my favorite vampire is in this one too!!!  My Rating: 4.5

Lynsay Sands- The Immortal Hunter (book 11)

This is Decker and Dani’s story. Decker is of course an Argeneau- he is another cousin to Bastien and the others. We first met Decker in the previous book when Mortimer and Bricker stayed at his cabin while hunting a rogue vampire. Since Mortimer was with Sam now they moved into a new Enforcers headquarters. Decker was on vacation when he was called in to help find a rogue vampire that kidnapped Dani and her sister. Decker managed to save Dani but the rogue got away with her sister. Dani is a doctor and has lots of questions about how and why Decker heals so quickly. Decker and Dani are each others lifemates. Sorry this is a very quick run through on what my simple brain can remember today. But I do remember one thing- my favorite vampire is in this book too!! My Rating: 4

Lynsay Sands- Rogue Hunter (book 10)

 Ok as you can tell we are starting the Rogue Hunter books- LOL. In this book we have a lot of characters but the main story is about Samantha (Sam) Willan and Garrett Mortimer. Mortimer is a Rogue Hunter which is: An Immortal who protects the world from renegade vampires. Mortimer and Justin Bricker worked with Lucian before he met his lifemate Leigh. Mortimer and Bricker go to Cabin Country because of a rumored rogue vampire kidnapping woman. Decker Argeneau lives in the area so they go to stay with him to make sure he is not the rogue vampire. While there three sisters are staying in the cabin next door to Decker’s cabin. Grant who is another immortal lives year around on the other side of the sister’s cabin. When the guys first see the sisters they are skinny dipping in the lake and Mortimer is not impressed with Sam. He realizes that he can not read her but fights it because she is not his type of woman- she is a flat chested, skinny lawyer-haha. Decker shows back up at his cabin so Decker and Bricker start asking around about the incidents while Mortimer deals with Sam and their newly forming relationship. Jo and Alex who are Sam’s sisters keep pushing Sam towards Mortimer. Again not to tell too much- they find out who is harming the woman and Mortimer and Sam kinda end up together in the end- key word here “kinda” My Rating: 4.5

Lynsay Sands- Vampire, Interrupted (book 9)

 Ok let me start with saying that this book takes place around the same time as the previous one or maybe a little before but not by much. There is a back story in this book that goes with Thomas and Inez’s book. I will admit that they run together for me so I could possible combine the two on a few occasions. As you know Marguerite is now in England looking for Christian Notte’s mother. His father is Julius Notte and he will not tell Christian who his mother really is. Marguerite stirs up some bad memories for someone and they try to kill her- numerous times. She and Tiny are at a hotel when an immortal breaks into Marguerites room and tries to cut her head off. Julius shows up with family members and says he will help her but will not tell her who Christian’s Mother is. After she is attacked a few more times Julius takes her to his home. Marguerite meets his family, and then her entire family shows up. Secrets- so many secrets I want to keep typing but like the other books if I tell you one thing then things start to unravel and you would be able to figure out the major part of this wonderful book. But you will never guess who is behind all the bad things happening to Marguerite- lol. One thing about this book is you have to remember that Marguerite is over 700 years old and that is a long life, immortals can have their memories changed and altered just like mortals can. Oh and also remember that it has been mentioned numerous times that jean Claude was not her lifemate he could read her and was able to make her do things against her will. Ok, Ok enough said- read on!!! My Rating: 4.5

Lynsay Sands- Vampires are Forever (book 8)

In this story Thomas and Inez are the main characters. Thomas is another cousin to the Argeneau clan but he is the closet to the them being that he was raised with most of them. His father was Marguerite’s brother in law and his Mother died young. His father’s three wives all died in mysterious ways. Ok Marguerite is now working as a Private Investigator with Tiny. They work for Jackie who is the lifemate to Vincent, another Argeneau cousin. On their first assignment they are hired to find the mother for Christian Notte. They head off to England since that is where Christian was born. So Marguerite disappears and Thomas goes to London to find her. Inez works for the Argeneau office in London so she has to pick Thomas up at the airport. He misses her at the airport and goes to the hotel. They meet and he realizes he can’t read her. She helps him in his search for Marguerite but things start to happen to them. They travel to another town because of rumors of sightings of Marguerite. All the others show up and someone from their past shows up trying to harm them. Finally Marguerite is found and so many new things happen and are found out about her. Can’t say more, don’t want to spoil it!!!! My Rating: 4.5

Lynsay Sands- The Accidental Vampire (book 7)

Ok this book cracked me up- it is about Victor and Elvi. Elvi was accidentally made into a vampire while on vacation with her girl-friend. In all of these books when someone changes they change into what their body & blood feel like is their optimal age so she was older when she changed but after the change she was young again- in her late 20’s early 30’s I think. Her friend she was with got her back home to the States and the whole town took care of her. They had blood drives for her!! Now that is funny. Since there was not another vampire around to teach her the rules she thought that she had to do everything the vampires in movies or on tv do- sleep in a coffin, give up food, stay out of the sun and all the other crazy things “Hollywood” vampires do. Her friends kept getting older and all worried about her so they put out an ad in the paper looking for a male vampire- LOL. See what I said about this being a funny book. Well male vampires started showing up to meet Elvi but at the same time someone started trying to kill her. Victor and D.J. were two of the vampires that showed up to check out the female vampire advertising for a mate. Elvi did not know anything about the ad. In these books there are lifemates- those are the vampires that can not read each other or control each other. All the male vampires came to the restaurant and tried to read Elvi, a few left or were thrown out but the others stayed and stayed with Elvi and her friend at Elvi’s house. Victor and the other males decided to teach Elvi the real ways of the vampires. Victor and Elvi fell in love and actually caught the person trying to kill her. I could go into the reasons behind them trying to kill her but I don’t want to ruin the book for anyone. Lucian arrived and found out about Elvi and ends up making Victor stay in the town with her since they are lifemates. Oh yeah and D.J. finds his lifemate too and it is very funny!! My Rating: 4.5

Lynsay Sands- Bite Me If You Can (book 6)

This book is about Lucian and Leigh and they are the main characters of this book but my FAVORITE vampire in the series is all over this book. I can’t mention his name yet b/c a friend of mine is still reading the books and we have a little bet going about whether or not she will be able to pick out my man or not. So the book starts with Lucian, who is of course an Argeneau but what makes him different from the others is that he is the oldest vampire in the family- he is like the Head Vampire. He is a Rogue Vampire Hunter and sits on the Vampire Counsel. He is the Uncle to all the Argeneau vampires. His twin brother was married to Marguerite. He is old and settled in his ways- some of his family even think he is just mean and grumpy but dang he is over two thousand years old.
Leigh is a young woman who has had a rough life but now she is an owner of a bar. She is walking home one night and a vampire attacks her and kidnaps her. One of the vamps that kidnap her is a man “Donny” that is obsessed with her, he changes her against her will but Lucian and his two co-workers (haha) rescue her. Lucian takes Leigh back to Marguerite’s house hoping she would take care of her through her change but Marguerite is leaving to go out of town to work her first case as a P.I., so that leaves him to take care of her. He tries to teach her how to get blood without getting to close to her. But they do end up falling for each other but neither one will admit it. Lucian still has to find the rogue vampire that escaped from him earlier when he was rescuing Leigh.       My Rating: 4.5

Lynsay Sands-A Bite to Remember (book 5)

Vincent Argeneau, cousin to Lucern, Bastien, Etienne and Lissianna. Vincent lives in Hollywood and is an actor. He mainly does plays but owns production companies in LA, NY and Canada. Vincent was staying with Bastien in NY when he met Terri because he was the lead in the play Dracula the Musical- LOL how funny is that??? When Vincent’s play gets shut down due to someone sabotaging the set and feeding off the actors he goes back to LA. Bastien sends his P.I. Jackie Morrisey to help Vincent find out who is trying to ruin his company and his life. Jackie shows up with her partner, Tiny, and he is not anywhere close to being tiny. Jackie does not trust or like immortals, she only works for them because her father was a P.I. that also worked for Bastien and she took over his company when he died. Jackie had been used by an immortal when she was young and never got over the feelings of being used and violated. Jackie and Vincent do not get along at first but all the accidents happening around them draw them closer together. The immortal that is sabotaging Vincent tries to kill Jackie by tearing a big wound into her neck, Jackie then bites the person holding her and swallows some of the vamps blood and that is how she is turned. Lily, the immortal that is trying to ruin Vincent stabbed the VP of his company, who was human so Vincent used his one and only turn on him. It all worked out with Jackie actually turning herself when she bites Lily. Vincent admitted that he loved Jackie and she finally admitted she loved him and so the ended up together. Yes I know all the stories have basically the same story lines and every one of them gets their HEA but that’s what I like about them and is why I keep reading them.  My Rating: 4.5

Lynsay Sands- Tall, Dark and Hungry (book 4)

Bastien Argeneau- the second oldest son in the family, the son that stood up and took control of the family businesses when his father died in a fire. Bastien is living and working out of the New York office and spending time with his brother Lucern and soon to be wife Kate. Kate’s best friend and cousin Terri is flying in for the wedding but decides to come two weeks early to help with wedding and spend time with her cousin. Lucern and Kate live in a small apartment so they ask Bastien if Terri can stay with him for a while since Terri can not afford to stay in a hotel for 2 weeks. Bastien is living in the family’s large penthouse so he agrees to it. Kate’s co-worker Chris is going out of town for a romance novel convention but he has an accident and Kate has to go in his place. Lucern goes to California with Kate and that leaves Bastien with Kate and Chris then bastiens cousin Vincent shows up saying that Marguerite has ok’d for him to stay in the penthouse too. Vincent is one of the rare vamps that have to feed off of humans to survive because he has a rare condition and needs the enzymes from fresh blood. He feeds off Bastien’s housekeeper, wipes her memory, then feeds of Chris and gets caught so the housekeep quits. Bastien is a workaholic and everyone is surprised when he takes time off work to show Terri around New York. They fall in love but she has been hurt in the past with her husband dying plus she notices an IV pole, blood and meds in one of Bastiens refrigerators. She overhears his family talking about his condition and she thinks he is dying so she leaves during the wedding reception and flies home to England. He goes after her and tries to tell her the truth about what he is but he does such a bad job she tells him she will have to think about being with him even though she loves him. Lissianna goes to England during her honeymoon and explains that she is a vampire now too and that things are not that bad. Terri quits her job, sells her cottage and moves to New York to be with Bastien- great story and also just as funny as the others. My Rating: 4.5

Lynsay Sands- Single White Vampire (book 3)

Ok this has to be my favorite book in the series so far- Lucern Argeneau. He is a romance writer- ha-ha I know it sounds funny and believe me it is. He writes the true stories of his family members and how they met their life mates. He wrote about his parents, his sister Lissianna & Greg and his latest novel was about Etienne and Rachel. Since they are all vampire stories no one believes they are real life. His new editor Kate keeps sending him long letters requesting that he do book signings, conventions or even interviews- his simple response to her long letters is “NO”, so Kate flies from New York to Toronto Canada to talk to him in person. He literally slams the door in her face when she shows up at his house, she had sent a letter stating that she was coming but he only opens his mail every few months. He’s over 600 years old is from the time that the man took care of the woman and the woman did not state her strong opinions- well Kate can take care of herself and she has no problem telling him how things are going to be. She ends up his date to Lissianna and Greg’s wedding thanks to him Mom. He starts to fall in love with Kate and agrees to do one thing from her list of request. He thinks it is an interview but it turns out to be a 4 or 5 day long convention. He tries to show her how he feels but she keeps a distance because she is his editor. They hook up and it has to be one of the funniest scenes I have ever read- she makes him get condoms and he is just clueless on a few things- you just have to read it. She falls too hard for him and ends up leaving the convention early, he pouts and then goes home, his mother gets involved and Kate comes to her senses and goes to Canada to be with him. He turns her into a vampire and they move to New York so she can continue to work and so can he. I laughed out loud so many times while reading this book. Lucern is grumpy, gruff and all so sexy that you can’t fall in love with him. My Rating: 5

Lynsay Sands- Loves Bites (book 2)

Etienne Argeneau is a game programmer and he is also a vampire that is over 300 years old. He has a stalker named “Pudge” that keeps trying to kill him. First attempt he shot him so Etienne ended up in the morgue only to wake up and scare the morgue doctor Rachel Garrett. Etienne was able to wipe Rachel’s memory and escape the morgue. A few weeks latter Pudge tried to kill him again with a bomb in his car. Etienne ended up at the morgue again but this time Pudge came in yelling and tried to cut his head off. Rachel stepped in from of the axe and blade went into her chest. All these vampires are allowed to only turn one person into a vampire in their life time and they all usually save that one turn for their “life mate”. But since Rachel saved Etienne’s life he decided he had to save her life even if he found his life mate one day. Rachel stayed with Etienne and they fell in love but Pudge was not finished with trying to hurt Etienne, he kidnapped Rachel because he was nuts and thought that she would bite him to make him a vampire. The Argeneau came to rescue Rachel and in the end it turned out that Rachel really was his true life mate. A true life mate is someone the vampire can NOT read or manipulate their minds so they all know that when they find someone like that, that it is meant to be. Loved this book too- hell how can you go wrong with hot sexy vampires. My Rating: 4.5

Lynsay Sands- A Quick Bite (book 1)

 I started this book as filler in between a few other series that I was reading- ugh waiting on the next book in a series to come out is always so hard for me. I loved this book- so much so that I actually put off reading my new release books I had been waiting for to read the entire series.
There a few things I need to explain first- yes this is another vampire series- Ha! Like I read anything but, well these vamps are a little different from other vampires- they can go out in the sunlight, most do not suck blood from humans (I will explain more on this later) and they can read and manipulate people’s thoughts. Ok that being said lets start- The Argeneau family- Marguerite (the Mom) is over 700 years old and has 4 children- Lucern, Bastien, Etienne and Lissianna- A Quick Bite is Lissianna’s story. Lissianna starts with her celebrating her birthday. She is one of the vampires that are allowed to actually feed off humans because she faints at the site of blood- Ha-ha I know very funny. All but two of her relatives feed off of bagged blood now. When Lissianna can not feed herself her Mom hooks her up to an IV. Marguerite came up with an idea of kidnapping a psychologist to help Lissianna with her phobia; Marguerite ties the kidnapped doctor up to Lissianna’s bed. Lissianna came home to find a man tied up to her bed and thought it was a birthday present from her Mom. Greg the doctor tried to talk her into untying him but she was sexually attracted to him and they started to get busy when her family walked in on them. Greg was not a present but was also attracted to her so he said that he would find another doc to help her. They fell in love and she turned him- this was a great story. Lissianna gets staked in the chest by a priest from the shelter she works for; the priest and another man also kidnap her and Greg. Even though they can be in the sunlight it depletes a lot of their “nanos” and their blood works overtime regenerating to keep them alive. They get saved and end up together for eternity.
A few side characters come into play in this book, Thomas (the cousin) love him, very funny vamp, plus she has a close friend and some other cousins that come into town for her birthday. I definitely recommend this series to everyone- great story, great sex and great laughs My Rating: 4.5
