We pick right up from the last book in this one- Sasha is still in the military but having trouble straddling the fence between her two worlds. Me, my world would be wherever yummy Hunter was!! Shogun and Hunter are getting along now but Hunter still doesn't trust him and for good reason, his brother is in love with his mate and doesn't hold that info back- from anyone!. The vampires start working with the Ice Queen of the Unseelie fae to get their positions back in the UCE, so that means killing humans making it look like the wolves are doing it all. The vamps kidnap a young Asian-American woman for the "ghost" like spirit of Lady Jung Suk to take over, she uses witchcraft to posses the body. Sasha and her team are taken off paranormal detail in New Orleans and a new Colonel is brought in to prove to the world that there is nothing paranormal going on in New Orleans, but on his first mission down there his entire team is killed. Sasha tries to work with him but he refuses to let her be involved until it is almost too late for them all. A demon spirit from the other side has escaped and is taking over the bodies of people and killing humans. The green goopy slim tries to kill Silver Hawke and take over Hunter but with Sasha's help they kill it. Sasha comes out as her wolf to a group of soldier that will be helping her kill the main possed "thing". Colonel Madison accepts Sasha and Hunter when he realizes he is in way over his own head. Sasha, Hunter and Sir Rodney along with his people trap and kill Lady Jung Suk and save the woman. Shogun still loves Sasha but finally realizes that she is Hunter's true mate and once he returns the young lady to her family the father gives him the girl- must be a Chinese tradition to give your daughter away like that-WTH? But he def does have feelings for her anyway. So finally after all their troubles Hunter is wounded and close to death, Sir Rodney calls counsel and the vamps think they have everything sealed up but the young woman remembers everything from being possessed and tells the truth so the vamps lose again. Hunter is taken to Sir Rodney's castle and is healed when Sasha gives him part of spirit self. Finally in this book she opened her eyes to realize that she needs to pick a side and she fully picks...... read the book people!! I have to admit this was one of my favorites from this series so far- looking forward to the next one- hopefully more Sir Rodney!!

L.A. Banks- Cursed to Death (book 4)

Sasha and Hunter are together but Shogun has not given up. He still wants her but went home with his tail between his legs. He dreams of her and still howls at the moon in pain with want for her. In this book someone or something has put a dark magik spell on everyone around Sasha. The dark spell is making everyone angry and horny (lol) Hunter wants Sasha and is willing to kill his pack brothers and Shogun if they come in between them. Sasha is angry at Hunter about everything. They are asked to come investigate the death of a Phoenix by Sir Rodney. Sit Rodney finally admits that their fae magik is slowly disappearing. Sasha and Hunter escape into the Shadowlands and figure out while there they are not angry or upset with each other. Bradley and Clarrisa search New Orleans for clues to help Sasha. Woods, Fisher, Bear Shadow and Crow Shadow each leave to search for women to help with their “problems” Shogun shows back up in New Orleans and it is a constant internal fight for Sasha between the two men. They discover who is using the dark magik against them, wars are started, fires burn, people are killed and there is another trial. Two people die in this book. Sir Rodney is able to have his Midsummer’s Night Ball but Sasha, Hunter and Sir Rodney now have new enemies. No word on the next book but let’s hope we hear something soon- I don’t like being left hanging!!!

L.A. Banks- Undead on Arrival (book 3)

This book picks up in New Orleans four weeks after the UCE Conference. The Vampires are not in control of the council any long- Hunter and Shogun co-lead the UCE Leader’s bench. The Vampires are out for revenge and things get dirty. Hunter is going through a BIG ordeal in his life and Sasha is standing by his side. Sasha learns even more about her past, things that she is having a hard time believing. Shogun is still sniffing around her and making it known that he still wants her. Something big happens to Hunter and Shogun but if I say what it is I will spoil so much. Sasha does a few things that are not good but she did them to save Hunter. Hunter is acting crazy and Sasha is having a hard time staying with him. Some team members of Sasha’s are in New Orleans working at Tulane to help Hunter. Bradley, Clarrisa and Winters now travel and go to where Sasha needs them the most. More paranormal creatures show up in this book, we meet Sir Rodney, fairies, more Werewolves and even more Vampires. The main vampire starting all the crap is Baron Geoff who owns a few strip clubs and casinos. After the change of council he had to pay heavy fines for his part in the demon-injected blood trading. So here we are again with me having lots to say but not able to say anything without spoiling so much!!!

L.A. Banks- Bite the Bullet (book 2)

Ok this book picks right up where the first one left off- Sasha has been told some things about her past and her heritage. She learned that she is part Shadow Wolf and when she stopped taking the injections she was able to turn into a She-wolf. When she does finally turn not long after that she comes into heat for the first time. Let’s just say that Hunter is a good man and doesn’t leave her wanting for anything. While she is in Heat she still has to locate her pack brothers which she has learned are her Familiars- Woods and Fisher. Familiars are not full Shadow Wolves but have some of the same DNA they are there to protect Sasha. There is a bad Werewolf kidnapping Shadow-wolves and using their blood to come down from a demon-infected high. Vampires are involved in the kidnapping and draining of Shadow Wolves also. Hunter and Sasha have to find the bad Werewolves and control the spread of the contagion. High ranking humans are involved in the spread of the contagion too. Shogun shows up and makes a play for Sasha even though he knows that she is Hunter’s life mate. All kinds of things happen and everyone ends up at the United Council of Entities where people go on trail in the paranormal communities. There are Fae people, Vampires, Werewolves and other supernatural beings that belong to paranormal communities.

L.A. Banks- Bad Blood (book 1)

In this book we meet Sasha Trudeau and her “pack” of guys that she works with. Rod Butler is the leader of their Black Ops, Special Forces Unit for the U.S. Military. They are actually in a group from the Paranormal Containment Unit (PCU). In this group there is Butler, Trudeau, Woods & Fisher, all four have to take daily injections that the head doctor, Dr. X. Holland developed for them. Each person in the unit thinks they were exposed to a contagion when they were young. This contagion was infected Demon Werewolf blood but it turns out that not everyone in the unit was exposed to the infected blood. When each members gets close to their 25 birthday they are sent on separate missions or 2 together missions due to the fact that in the past most of the others from the Unit have turned full Demon Werewolf on their birthday. Butler is the first to turn and then all hell breaks loose. Sasha is sent to Asia alone and meets Shogun, who turns out to be the Alpha pack leader for the Asian Werewolf Federation. She comes back to the States to learn that Butler has turned and that her other pack brothers are missing. While out searching for clues she runs into Max Hunter, who is the Alpha Pack leader for the North American Shadow Wolves. Shogun had already explained to Sasha the differences between each clan, there are the Shadow Wolves who can change from human to pure wolves at any time and jump from shadow to shadow, Werewolves who can change from human to werewolf but only during the full moon and then there are the Demon infected Werewolves who eat human flesh and can not control their transformations during the full moon. Hunter and Sasha hook up and he falls hard for her saying she is his “lifemate” something that she can not admit too, but he was raised as a Shadow Wolf and knows “the way of the wolf” and she was raised human and can not just commit to someone for life after a few days. Ok that is the main setting of the book- lots happen with Hunter and the contagion, Sasha’s pack brothers, Dr. Holland, Silver Shadow (who is an elder in Hunter’s clan and also his Grandfather), Shogun and demon-infected werewolves. Oh yeah to describe Hunter- 6’5” with long black hair and well muscled- that alone should make you want to read the books
