Allyson James- The Dragon Master (book 3)

Seth and Carol- Carol is Lisa's best friend from childhood but she does not believe in dragons until one shows up in an alley one night and wraps his human hands around her neck. He wants to know why she called him and she insists she did not call him. Seth is a Red Dragon a dragon rare like the Silver dragon, that can call fire. Turns out that Carol is a dragon master and can call all dragons to do her bidding. She controls Seth's name and can not seem to let it go. She is able to call Caleb, Malcolm and Lisa but can let their names go easily. Carol's mother was a dragon master too but was killed when Carol was a child by the Order of the Black Lotus. There is another dragon master that really called Seth and he is Carol's relative that was trapped in a glass box for 1000 years with a demon god. To kill the demon god Carol has to pull all the fire from Seth into her and control the other dragons. Once Seth is finally released from Carol he goes back to Dragonspace and Carol goes to find him to let him know she loves him and that she is pregnant. Seth almost dies in the fight at the end but Lisa holds him in a silver bubble until Carol can get to him to give him back his fire essence. Once Seth is back to normal they leave Dragonspace to go and live in San Francisco. Good book with a happy ending but I still like Malcolm the best!! Ratings: 4

Allyson James- The Black Dragon (book 2)

Malcolm and Saba- Let's just start this off with a big YUM-O for Malcolm- Yummy Yummy Yummy- He is by far my favorite dragon!! Lisa sent Malcolm back to Dragonspace in the last book and Saba was now living in Malcolm’s house and has control over all of his assets and money the way Malcolm left it. When Malcolm left he gave Saba some black dragon tears and told her when she needed him just use them to call him. Saba was attacked on the train by an evil White Dragon and she called for Malcolm. The white dragon was using and killing witches to get control of all the dragons so he could control Dragonspace. He stole a book from Malcolm and the dragon archive that has all the dragon's true names in it. The white dragon let out an evil black force when he stole the book. Malcolm and Saba work together with Lisa and Caleb to destroy the white dragon and black force. Lisa gave Malcolm and Saba magic to have a baby in the human world so they get pregnant and have a baby girl. Malcolm is a black dragon that is a healing dragon that has very high intelligence and did I mention that is is YUMMY?? That dry sense of humor is to die for- love a man/dragon that is funny and doesn't know it.  My Rating: 4.5

Allyson James- Dragon Heat (book 1)

Lisa and Caleb. Lisa was married and divorced, but when her grandmother dies she moved back to San Francisco b/c her grandmother left her the apartment. Lisa knew that all her life her grandmother told her about dragons. So really Lisa was not too shocked when she found Caleb a real golden dragon living in her guest room. Three witches controlled Caleb with his true dragon name so they had him watching Lisa b/c they knew she had great power and they wanted to own that power, besides the witches there is a black dragon after Lisa too- Malcolm. He has been cursed to the human world and wants to use her power to go back to Dragonspace where the dragons live. One of the witches that has a hold on Caleb ends up being controlled by Malcolm, her name is Saba. The head witch tires to hurt Lisa more and Lisa discovers she is a silver dragon which is the most exclusive and magical dragon. Lisa helps Malcolm go back to Dragonspace and they work together to kill the witch. Caleb is a golden dragon that is a warrior dragon and Caleb and Lisa fall in love- awww two dragons in love but tricky part is that Lisa is still half human so Caleb has to rely on Saba to help him become human but when Lisa is a Silver Dragon she can keep Caleb human while he is with her.  My Rating: 4

Suzanne Collins- Catching Fire

Well guess what?? I have to give a spoiler from the last book so I can talk about this one. Kat and Peeta won the Hunger Games but that is not the interesting part of the story but that is all I am giving from that book. Seriously had to wait forever for this book to come out and let me tell you it...was...worth...the....wait!! In this story Kat has gone home from District 1 to a "better" life and a new home back in District 12. Gale starts working in the mines and they do not see each other as much but there is something there between the two of them but you have to throw Peeta into the mix now. Crazy teen threesome without the sex- make sense?? It is now time for the 75th Annual Hunger Game and the rules changed for this event- this time instead of picking new tributes they will have all the living tributes from Games past participate. So that automatically means Kat and Peeta are the tributes for District 12. Rumors are stronger about the District 13 and people are starting to see Kat as a leader of some new rebellion. She does not want to be labeled a rebellion leader and just wants to protect her family. The Game this time is fantastic- another book that I did not want to put down. The ending is left wide open for book three that we have to wait forever for again but like this one I imagine it will be worth it. And yes I am leaving it just like this I don't want to spoil this book for anyone- just READ IT!!

Suzanne Collins- The Hunger Games

OK I can not say enough about this book- LOVED IT! It is a YA series but man is it a good one. It did take me a little while to really get into it but once I did I wanted to do nothing else but read. The story is about Katniss a girl in only what I can explain as a postapocalyptic United States. The States are broken up into districts and each has its strong points of commerce. District 12 where Kat is from is known for coal. Her whole town relies on the coal mining business. Every year District 1 holds The Hunger Games where 2 kids from each district are chosen by a lottery type system. For this years games Kat's sister is chosen and Kat takes her place. Kat has a best friend who is a guy named Gale that is about the same age as Kat. In the games one female and one male are chosen and the male picked with Kat is Peeta, who is the son of the local baker. The "tributes" (as they are called in the book) have a local chaperon who previously won the Game. They travel to district one with all the other tributes to have costumes and other things done for them for the parade that leads up to the Hunger Game. OK time for the Game to begin- they are all dropped into a big area and now have to actually fight to the DEATH- yes death!! These are kids. And to top it all off everything is being televised to all districts. They can have help from the outside by supporters from their districts but Kat and Peeta's district is the poorest of the 12 Districts. There is talk of a District 13 that tried to rebel against District 1. Things happen during the Game that I can't really go into without spoiling everything. This is a MUST read if you want a break from vampires, werewolves and fairies.
